Meet our Instructors Elayne DeLeo Yoga Instructor
Elayne has been practicing yoga for several years and has spent the past year deepening her practice through formal study and teaching. She found a home and love in the practice of yoga through the recommendation of her good friend and instructor Samantha Lang. Elayne imbues her teaching with passion, a love of asana and a commitmentto yoga as a spiritual, fun and healthful practice. Her all ages, all levels classes incorporate vinyasa with creativity set to a number of music styles. Elayne has studied Ashtanga with David Swenson and has taken workshops with Sean Corne.
Beth HouserFounder of Tula Atlanta Health Studios & Hatha Yoga Instructor Beth Houser, R.Y.T, Tula Atlanta Health Studios founder, is a certified and nationally registered Hatha Yoga Instructor with in-depth yoga study (movement and philosophy) background. She has nearly a decade of practical yoga experience, and on-going regular practice and study in numerous styles of yoga (including Vinyassa Flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anusara), from which she pulls in order to offer her students a well-balanced Hatha Yoga blend. Previously a teacher and school principal who taught yoga classes to her students and staff, Beth recognized the tremendous yoga benefit to people of all ages and backgrounds as a cause worthy of devoting her career to. In addition to her personal commitment to on-going practice, study, and regular workshop participation, she has completed yoga school programs at Living Yoga Program and at The Orlando Center for Yoga and Health.
BIOS AND PHOTOS TO BE POSTED SOON!: Claire Ward (NIA) Claire Ward is a certified Nia instructor and has been teaching Nia in the Atlanta area for 3 years. While on a personal journey to reconnect with herself physically, mentally and spiritually, Claire discovered the Nia Technique. Nia is a versatile combination of dancing, stretching, martial arts, yoga, breathing and meditation that is fun, effective and motivational. Come try a Nia class and discover the joy of movement!! Susan Wells (YOGA) Susan Wells is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher whose passion is sharing her joy in yoga and watching her students blossom with the fruits of their practice. After a serious illness during her 20's, yoga became for her a compelling blend of beauty, spirit, and health. Susan earned her teacher certification in 2001 through Atlanta Yoga Fellowship, under the direction of Graham Fowler and Ursula Nix. She received additional teacher training in 2004 from Tias Little at Yoga Source in Santa Fe, and she has studied with several luminaries: Rodney Yee, John Friend, Shiva Rae, & Erich Schiffman, to name a few. Susan teaches a flowing style, and her classes range from gentle to vigorous. Her gift is communicating the poses verbally and with gentle touch, creating a space for the student to experience awareness of the breath and the flow of energy, leading to greater strength, flexibility, vitality, and a sense of inner peace. Anna Whaley (PILATES) Anna Whaley left the corporate world eight years ago to acquire a more peaceful lifestyle, which included practicing and instructing Pilates. Anna trained with Leslie Clayton at Body Awareness Studio in Sandy Springs and continues to strengthen her pilates skills through on-going continuing education. Her training repertoire includes large and small apparatus training and mat work, as well as taking many specializied classes such as Pilates for Golfers, which was offered at the PGA Center in Florida (Anna, herself, is an avid golfer!). Her love of pilates led her to open her open her own successful Pilates studio in 2005. She has been instructing private and group sessions consitently for the past five years, and has recently decided to move her Pilates services to Tula to allow more time in her schedule for international travel (make sure you ask Anna about her trips to India, Costa Rica, Turkey, New Zealand, south Africa....! :) ) Debbie McCoy, CYT Debbie has been practicing yoga for several years, and was immediately drawn to the practice from her first class. She received her certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, MA. Her teaching style is heart-centered, with a focus on openness, acceptance and self-exploration . |
