About Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a physical yoga practice that has been around for over 2000 years and is touted as one of the most comprehensive exercise programs for achieving optimal mind and body health.

Benefits: Among the many of regular yoga practice are improved energy, vitality, concentration and memory; reduced stress, a calmer mind and a greater sense of well-being; weight-control; improved sleep; lowered blood pressure; reduced back pain, increased physical strength and fitness, and a sort of reversal of the aging process.

Oprah Winfrey, Christy Turlington, Sting, Madonna, Charlie Sheen,  and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are among the many well-known names who swear by the benefits of yoga. Vogue Magazine talked of the "yoga body" as the "in body."

What we offer
 Our personalized yoga sessions focus on your individual needs. There are many different styles of Hatha yoga. We start with an individual assessment so that we may teach you a series of asana and breathing techniques appropriate to yield your desired outcome/goal. If interested, we can also incorporate the practical and philosophical concepts of Raja, Bhakti and Jnana Yoga.

Private Yoga   $85
One-hour sessions offered at Tula Atlanta Health Studios;  ($100 at your Buckhead-area home) Come here before joining a large group or let us help you develop the most appropriate practice for your regular daily routine.  Learn and understand the basics of traditional Hatha yoga or deepen your existing practice in a private setting.  We will take all of the necessary time to ensure your practice is safe and effective for your specific, individual needs. Packaging pricing available.

On-Location/Corporate Yoga
Comprehensive yoga classes offered at your chosen location --easy to accommodate in any large room.  Great for businesses, mother groups, neighborhood groups, bridal showers, etc!

Our Classes

  • Private yoga and pilates sessions available daily by appointment.
  • Drop-In: $15, 
  • 8-pack series:  $100  60 day Expiration. 
  • Monthly Unlimited Classes: $90 

Yoga: Each class offers the opportunity for each student to deepen his/her practice, incorporate back-bending, inversions and twists, make it as deep, vigorous or as nurturing a class as is appropriate for each student on that particular day.

Yoga for Athletes, Cardio Yoga: Incorporates the mental, physical, spiritual aspects and breathing techniques of the 5,000 year old discipline, but these fast-paced, 75 minute classes will feel like the only work-out youll need! Great for aerobic conditioning, muscle toning and lengthning.

Yoga Flow/Vinyasa: "Vinyasa" means breath synchronized movement. In this class you will to learn to cultivate a sense of calm through meditative movement. Using deep breathing to guide you through each asana you will develop grace and fluidity while energizing and strengthening the body.

Beginner's and Beginner's Flow: Learn and review foundational alignment principles of yoga postures in a relaxed envionment.  

Yoga Therapy: This class is lead by a physical therapist who is also a registered yoga instructor. Classes focus on restoring muscular and joint balance through all aspects of yoga including asana breathing and relaxation.

Svaroopa Yoga: Svaroopa refers to the inherent state of bliss within all of us. Using breath, postures and a working knowledge of the body, this unique style of hatha yoga explores the body with precision and compassion. Svaroopa Yoga, when practiced regularly, allows you to experience a spacious, rejuvenating feeling of coming home to your body. Through assisted poses, it provides freedom from tension and allows access to your own inner knowing. The experience calms the  mind and stills the emotions that interfere with just being in the moment. All the activities of your daily life can be enriched. It will help you look better and feel better...from the inside out.

NIA Technique:
An expressive workout and lifestyle practice that uses The Body's Way to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual fitness and well-being. NIA blends elements of dance, yoga, martial arts and healing arts to world music for a complete movement experience. Increasing flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability are a focus. NIA is a non-impact, cardiovascular movement form that accommodates any and all levels of fitness. Classes are designed to leave you feeling deeply centered, powerful and relaxed.

Callanetics: One word describes Callanetics exercises; unique. By isolating muscle groups and using tiny, precise (yet powerful) movements, Callanetics exercises tighten and reshape your body while increasing strength and flexibility.

Pilates: The perfect complement to yoga! Utilizes a specific set of exercises synchronized with the breath to strengthen and stretch the core.
